Immunoglobulin G (IgG) ELISA

Description
The K-ASSAY® Human Immunoglobulin-G (IgG) ELISA is designed for the quantitative determination of human IgG in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, body fluid and tissue homogenate.

IgG is the smallest (150 kDa) but most common antibody in human blood and extracellular fluid. IgG molecules are generated and released by plasma B cells. Each IgG molecule contains two antigen binding sites. There are four IgG classes, each with unique biological functions.

Measured IgG levels are indicative of an individual’s immune status to a particular pathogen. In the kidney, increased infiltration of IgG (class 4)-positive plasma cells is associated with tubulointerstitial nephritis.
